Bio

Innovator, artist, engineer

My main interests live where engineering meets imagination: In-Situ Resource Utilisation, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and virtual reality applications for space.

Engineering

I have always pursued scientific studies while working on ever-evolving artistic projects. Currently I am focused on shaping the future of Model-Based Systems Engineering with Dymension.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino (2021), with a thesis on the support beams of solar sails, and a Master's in Space Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.

I took part in NASA's RASC-AL competition, developing a concept for autonomous fuel production on Mars. I was responsible for the chemical processes team and the virtual reality prototype, which won the Best Prototype Demonstration award at the 2022 finals in Cocoa Beach, FL.

I interned at the ESA European Astronaut Centre, working on a demonstration payload to manufacture bricks on the Moon and on a VR application to simulate human spaceflight.

Art

I was born in Altamura and experimented with many techniques as a self-taught artist: wood carving, acrylics, graffiti writing. In 2016 I studied artistic anatomy under Gianluca De Cosmo, and in the summer of 2017 I learned oil painting from master artist Aldo Bandini in Carrara.

Since 2020 I have worked with Blender and Unity for interactive virtual spaces, 3D videos and virtual prototyping. My practice today blends oil painting with 3D modelling and animation, expanding the artwork beyond the canvas. I focus on themes related to the universe, because I believe art can play a significant role in the future of space exploration.
