Near-Earth Asteroid Scout

A CubeSat in the manner of NEA Scout, the NASA solar sail mission led by Les Johnson, opens its solar panels, fires its thrusters on the way to an asteroid, then unfolds its sail and lets the light carry it.

I animated it in 2021, the year of my thesis on the beams that hold a sail open, and it was shown at Questi ed Altri Spazi, where Les Johnson spoke about solar sails by video link.
